Back at UWF and earning my Master's Degree - First Class is Computer Cartography

 Hello readers!

I am back at UWF to further my career by earning my Master of Science in GIS administration. For my current class, it is necessary to do an introduction blog post. So, if this is your first time here, here is some information about myself.

Reason why I joined this program

I chose this program mainly because of the familiarity and the quality of the program. If you didn't already know, I pursued my undergraduate here at UWF, so I already new the staff here were fantastic. I also want to further my career in GIS by learning new ways I can apply it to my work and get more into the management side of the field. I also joined this program due to the flexibility the program offers, as I am currently working full-time as a GIS Analyst and Environmental Scientist.

About me

One thing I really enjoy in my free time is watching baseball, as I am a huge Tampa Bay Rays fan. So when baseball  season is not ongoing, I am very bored. But sometimes when I am free I try to go to very nice areas and get nice landscape shots with my drone. My job actually introduced me into flying drones, as it is necessary for us to use if we aren't able to access areas during an ESA. So as a result of it I earned my Part 107 license, and bought myself a drone in the last year.

If you want to learn more about me and view some drone shots I took while out in the field, come check out my story map here: About Me Story Map
